The most recent of the Kansas City Chiefs' additions in unrestricted free agency is, on the surface, also the most surprising.
The Chiefs, who seemed well-stocked at running back before the signing period began, added Damien Williams to the mix toward the end of March. Kansas City already had four backs it liked, including Kareem Hunt, the NFL's leading rusher last season, Spencer Ware, Charcandrick West and Akeem Hunt.
But Ware missed all of last season with a knee injury after leading the Chiefs in rushing in 2016.
