KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After losing starter Sean Smith to free agency and then not replacing him with another veteran, the Kansas City Chiefs need a lot to go their way if things are to work out for them at cornerback.
In that respect, at least, the Chiefs have reason to be encouraged after the first week of offseason practice. They should be able to survive and perhaps even thrive at cornerback, where much of the early news has been positive.
