On Monday, July 27, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that for the first time in the 24-year history of the event, the tradition of Red Friday will become Red Thursday on September 17, in conjunction with the team’s 2015 home opener against the Denver Broncos on CBS’s Thursday Night Football.
In an additional effort to expand the excitement of Red Thursday throughout the Chiefs Kingdom in 2015, the club announced today that it will take the Red Thursday celebration on the road to Omaha, Nebraska. This marks the first time the team will specifically target fans from another market within the Kingdom during the annual season kickoff.
