KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- When the NFL went to its 32 teams last spring to look for a volunteer to play a home game on Christmas night, at least one hand went up. That hand, when it comes to playing home games in prime time on holidays or any other time, is a familiar one to league officials.
The Kansas City Chiefs might, given the chance, play each of their home games in prime time. As a smaller-market team, they aren’t often given that opportunity.
That’s why the Chiefs aren’t complaining that two of their three December home games will be played at night.
