Branden Albert could be traded instead of released by Dolphins

The initial reports said that the Miami Dolphins were ready to move on from Branden Albert after a three-year stint as their starting left tackle. While his exit is still likely, they might actually get something in return.

Moving away from early reports of his release, the current rumor is that the Dolphins are now reportedly trading Albert instead. Apparently at least one team was very interested in acquiring Albert and willing to pay for the chance to not face off against other suitors on the open market.

It should be noted that any team trading for Albert will inherit what’s left of his initial five-year deal with the Dolphins, which comes out to $18.
