Warriors' Head Coach Steve Kerr Says Stephen Curry Won't Play In Game 2

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry thinks he'll play in Game 3 of the team's series against the Portland Trail Blazers, but he won't be playing in Game 2. Head coach Steve Kerr ruled Curry out on Monday as he recovers from a knee injury.

Curry suffered the injury in the Warriors' Game 4 win over the Houston Rockets in the first round after slipping on a wet spot:

He was given an initial recovery timeline of two weeks. A Game 3 return would be earlier than expected.

Curry also suffered an ankle injury Game 1 against the Rockets, which caused him to miss two games.
