Stephen Curry Says He Expects To Play In Game 3 vs. Blazers

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will miss the first two games of their second round series against the Portland Trail Blazers with a sprained knee, but he may not miss more than that. He told ESPN's Lisa Salters that he expects to be on the court for Game 3:

The Washington Post reports there's a "slim chance" he returns for their matchup in Game 2, but the team won't rush his recovery.

Curry suffered the injury in their Game 4 win over the Houston Rockets in the first round after slipping on a wet spot:

He was given an initial recovery timeline of two weeks. Returning for Game 3 would be slightly sooner than expected.

Curry also suffered an ankle injury Game 1 against the Rockets, which caused him to miss two games.
