DURHAM, N.C. – Competing against nationally ranked teams in three of its five matches, the Duke women’s fencing team logged a 2-3 record in front of the home crowd at the Duke Meet in Card Gym Sunday. After three meets, the Blue Devil women hold a 13-8 season record.
Duke picked up wins over North Carolina (15-12) and Brandeis (15-12), and all three losses came against the top-10 teams: second-ranked Notre Dame (10-17), ninth-ranked Penn State (8-19) and 10th-ranked Temple (11-16).
Three Blue Devils logged 10 wins on the day, including two in epee.
