DURHAM, N.C. – The Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca professional basketball team in Spain announced this week that former Duke freshman Angela Salvadores has signed a three-year contract with the squad beginning with the 2016-17 campaign.
Avenida is the professional team Salvadores grew up wanting to play for and is located only two hours away from her home in Spain.
Salvadores, a native of Leon, Spain, started 15-of-29 contests as a rookie in 2015-16, while averaging 8.7 points, 3.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals. The 5-10 guard hit 26 three-pointers and dished a Duke-best 94 assists on the year.
