No. 9 Blue Devil Men Open Duke Meet, 3-2

DURHAM – The ninth-ranked Duke men's fencing team went 3-2 overall Saturday at the first day of the Duke Meet at Card Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The ninth-ranked men collected wins over Brandeis (18-9), Johns Hopkins (17-10) and MIT (17-10) and fell to No. 4 Notre Dame (18-9) and No. 7 Penn State (17-10).
  • Co-captain Terence Lee led the men's contingent with a 10-3 record as he went 3-0 against the No. 7 Nittany Lions as the saber squad went 3-2.
  • Co-captain Finn Hossfeld tallied eight victories for foil while Stephen Kim (saber) and Allen Marakov (epee) added seven wins.
