Former Blue Devil Marshall Plumlee recently announced that he will hold off on joining the Army for now to pursue a professional basketball career.
Marshall Plumlee is eligible to become an Army officer after completing the ROTC requirements and participating in a contracting ceremony where he was sworn in to the armed forces. The 7-foot center is taller than the maximum height allowed to be in the Army, but was able to receive a special waiver to join.
Plumlee had limited playing time throughout his career at Duke and averaged 3.
