WASHINGTON, D.C.— Former Duke University All-America Tricia Liston along with the 2015 WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx were honored at the White House by President Barack Obama Monday in the East Room.
The Lynx were coming off capturing their third WNBA championship over the last five seasons this past October. It marked the third time Minnesota has met Obama as the squad also made visits to the White House in 2012 and 2014.
Liston joined Mistie Bass (2014) and Karima Christmas (2012) as Blue Devils who have won a WNBA Championships. Duke alumnae have claimed WNBA titles in in three out of the last four seasons.
