DURHAM – For the fourth time this season, Duke women's tennis rookie Shavit Kimchi has earned ACC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The four ACC Freshman of the Week selections rank as the second-most in Duke history behind Kelly Chen with six in 2017-18.
Kimchi, who hails from Sdey Hemed, Israel, collected a pair of victories against Virginia Tech on Friday in both singles and doubles action. At the No. 2 singles slot, she posted a 6-3, 6-0 win over Katie Andreini to register her fifth ACC victory and her fifth win over the last six matches.
