ATLANTA – Tied 2-2, Friday’s series opener between Duke and No. 21 Georgia Tech was suspended at 9:20 p.m., in the bottom of the seventh due to rain. The game will resume at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 2 at Russ Chandler Stadium.
After Georgia Tech (19-5, 5-4 ACC) a 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, sophomore Justin Bellinger launched a two-run fifth-inning homer to knot the score. Bellinger was 2-for-2 Friday and reached base in all three plate appearances with a third-inning walk and seventh-inning single.
Duke starter Bailey Clark walked the first two batters he faced before settling down and working 5.
