DURHAM, N.C. – Four members of the Duke rowing team were selected to the All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the league office Thursday. Sophomores Shannon Tierney and Karley Whelan, junior Katherine Maitland and freshman Kiernan Spencer represented the Blue Devils. The selection is the second for Maitland and Whelan and the first for Tierney and Spencer.
Last month, Maitland was a First Team All-ACC honoree while Tierney picked up second-team all-league accolades. Maitland was also a First Team Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Region 3 honoree.
