Blue Devil sophomore guard/forward Azurá Stevens was recently honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference as the Player of the Week. This is the first conference player of the week honor for Stevens, who earned several ACC Freshman of the Week selections last year for Duke Women’s Basketball.
Azurá Stevens had an excellent week for the Blue Devils this past week, starting with a dominant 32 point, 14 rebound performance in a win over Army two Sundays ago. Additionally, the versatile 6-6 wing was also recently named the MVP of the 2015 Cancun Challenge’s Mayan Tournament after averaging 18.
