Minnesota has been good to Duke in recent years, sending Gary Trent and the Jones brothers down to Durham. Before that, Nick Horvath came south and carved out a nice career with the Blue Devils.
A 6-4 guard, Suggs is also a promising quarterback and might try to do both in college. Charlie Ward did it at Florida Start and before him, and we think Art Schlichter did it at Ohio State before his epic fall (he’s in prison as a result of his compulsive gambling) but it’s not common.
We don't know if Duke would consider it, but he could learn a lot from either Coach K or David Cutcliffe or, perhaps, both.
