The Blue Devils earned a hard-fought win in their first match-up of the ACC Tournament today, beating NC State for the third time this season in a 92-89 win that was tight throughout with a missed half-court buzzer beater giving Duke the victory.
After a poor shooting performance in their regular season finale against North Carolina, the Blue Devils rebounded to shoot 52.4% from the field and made 12 three-pointers. Defense was non-existent for either team with the Wolfpack shooting 55.4% from the field, but Duke was able to get key stops and force turnovers down the stretch which allowed them to hold on and win the game.
