The sweat in the room was budding as the Duke Blue Devils, firmly on the bubble, did not hear its named called when the first half of the bracket was revealed.
However, the glorious four letter word, D-U-K-E appeared on the ESPNU screen as the No. 3 seed in the Morgantown Regional and the Blue Devils will be headed to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four seasons.
Prior making the NCAAs in 2016, the last time the Blue Devils made the tournament was in 1961.
Head Coach Chris Pollard led Duke to all three of those NCAA Tournament appearances.
