DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Athletics honored Al Buehler Friday afternoon, holding a ceremony to unveil a bust dedicated to the legendary track and field coach just outside of the Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium.
Friday’s ceremony began around 4:30 p.m., with over 150 people in attendance before moving to Skandalaris for the reception shortly after.
“We get a chance memorialize Coach Buehler’s career in history here at Duke,” said Vice President and Director of Athletics Kevin White in his welcome of the program. “We’re also proud and grateful. This is an amazing moment in the history of this University.
