Duke Athletic Director Honored for Diversity and Inclusion

The NCAA recently honored Duke athletics director Kevin White as being a Champion of Diversity and Inclusion in college athletics. His efforts include hiring head coaches, selecting senior and executive staff members, producing new athletic directors from former assistants, and more.

The NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee notes that White has done “impressive work” throughout his career. Chris Reynolds, the athletic director at Bradley University, described White as “a pioneer and an extraordinary leader … in the area of diversity and inclusion.”

Kevin White became the vice president and director of athletics in 2008.
