Duke Football received some bad news in the aftermath of their upset win over Notre Dame, and will lose another starter and team captain to a season-ending injury. An MRI confirmed that versatile defender and special teams return DeVon Edwards will miss the rest of the season for the Blue Devils.
DeVon Edwards injured his knee during his first kick return on Saturday’s matchup against Notre Dame. As a redshirt senior, the injury also most likely means his college career is over. The injury is a huge hit for the Blue Devils, who will have to continue the season without one of their most versatile players who makes an impact as a leader on defense and special teams.
