Blue Devils Open NCAA Championship in Tied 19th

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – On a day that featured bone-chilling temperatures and rain, the Duke women's golf team opened the 2017 NCAA Championship with a 37-over-par ledger of 325 at the 6,343-yard, par 72 Rich Harvest Farm in Sugar Grove, Ill. The Blue Devils went off in the afternoon on hole No. 10 and dealt with heavy rain for the first nine holes.

Northwestern opened action with a 13-over, 301, to take the team lead, while Kent State (303), Ohio State (311), Arizona State (311), Stanford (311), Baylor (311), South Carolina (313), North Carolina (314), Southern California (315), Michigan (315) and Purdue (315) rounded out the top 11 teams.
