PHILADELPHIA – Kicking off the final weekend of the 2016 outdoor regular season Thursday with the opening day of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, the Duke track & field team captured one event victory and qualified one relay for Saturday’s finals.
Continuing what has been a stellar month and season, senior pole vaulter Megan Clark edged out sophomore teammate Madison Heath for the win in the College Women’s Pole Vault Championship, clearing 13-9.25 (4.20m) and electing to end her day on the make. Heath failed to clear the same height, placing second with a mark of 13-5.
