Blue Devils Begin Quest for PDL Title

DURHAM, N.C.—Eight current men’s soccer Blue Devils have spent their summers on PDL (Premier Development League) rosters as they compete for a league title. Three have their teams in the playoffs, which kick off Friday, July 20.

Below is a quick update on our Blue Devils in the PDL with the Duke season just around the corner. The Lansing United, Colorado Rapid and Black Rock FC all will start playoff action Friday.

Daniel Wright | Lansing United | 7-2-5

  • Lansing United finished second in its division and will play Des Moines Menace in the opening round of the playoffs
  • Has played in nine games and for 379 minutes
  • Wright owns a goal and an assist, scoring his goal June 24 in a 2-2 draw with West Virginia Chaos

Will Pulisic | Colorado Rapids U23 | 8-2-4

  • Colorado Rapids won the Mountain Division of the Western Conference to earn the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs.
