For the second time in the past week Mike Krzyzewski and Duke have missed out on a 2016 recruit. Last week it was the five star shooting guard Tyus Battle who chose Michigan over Duke. This week it is Jay Huff who chose to commit to Virginia, Duke’s ACC rival, instead of become a Blue Devil.
Huff is a 6’10” forward and he attends Voyager Academy in Durham, North Carolina. The fact that he is from Durham would typically give Duke the advantage in recruiting him, but they had not yet offered him a scholarship despite showing interest.
