Anticipating the need to close out crucial games in 2015, the White Sox signed one of baseball's premier relievers.
Thanks to a second-half swoon that saw the Sox finish 19 games out of first place, David Robertson instead found himself slamming the door on too many inconsequential victories.
This season has been a different story as Robertson has been dynamic for the American League Central-leading Sox, paying dividends on that four-year, $46 million free agent deal the right-hander signed to come to Chicago.
"Every (outing), save situation or not, you're trying to put up good numbers, you're trying to hold the game and give your guys a chance to win," Robertson said.
