White Sox Still Don’t Have Radio Partner for Upcoming Season

The Chicago White Sox are still searching for a new radio broadcast partner for 2018 and beyond. After Cumulus Media, owner of WLS-AM 890 asked US Bankruptcy Court to terminate its contract with both the Sox and Bulls on Feb. 1, the South Siders are searching for a new home for its radio broadcasts this season.

Cumulus Media stated the Bulls and Sox weren’t profitable for their network despite both teams having long-term broadcast contracts with WLS-AM 890. The Sox were entering its third season with WLS-AM 890 in 2018 after signing a six-year contract with the station after the end of the 2015 season.
