The Chicago White Sox promoted Dane Dunning from Class A Kannapolis to Class A Winston-Salem Dash on Friday. The right-handed pitcher was part of a trade that featured Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez from the Washington Nationals in exchange for Adam Eaton this past offseason.
Dunning compiled a 2-0 record in four starts for Kannaoplis with a superb 0.35 ERA. The 2016 first round pick of the Nationals (29th overall) recorded 33 strikeouts to just two walks through four starts for the Intimidators this season.
The former Florida Gator has been impressive early in the season, and he should see more advanced hitters as a part of the Dash starting rotation.
