White Sox pitcher Carlos Rodon will make rehab start Saturday in Kannapolis

White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said Thursday that the left-hander will make a rehab start for Class A Kannapolis on Saturday. Rodon, the third pick in the 2014 draft out of North Carolina State, went to high school in Holly Springs, N.C., about 135 miles east of Kannapolis.

Rodon has been in extended spring training in Glendale, Ariz., while recovering from arthroscopic surgery he underwent on his left shoulder in September.

“Obviously he has been throwing in extended spring training, made a number of starts there, each of which have gone well,” Hahn said.
