Two Straight Wins And A Sweep In Our Sights

This Afternoon’s Game

White Sox vs. Tigers at U.S. Cellular Field (1:10 p.m., CT, WGN) in the finale of the three-game series–the first two won by the Sox. Probable Starters: LHP Jose Quintana (1-2, 5.28) for us,  RHP Kyle Lobstein (2-2, 3.91) for Detroit.

Last Night’s Highlights

With two out in the eighth inning and trailing by three runs, Micah Johnson and Adam Eaton singled, setting the stage for Melky Cabrera‘s dramatic three-run homer, his first long one of the year, that tied the score at 6-6.  Jose Abreu and Adam LaRoche followed with singles and Avi Garcia drove in the game-winner with a clutch base-hit for the 7-6 lead and eventual second straight win over the Tigers.
