Palka Pokes a Pair & Breaks a Record; Tribe Next After Series Win

Daniel Palka hit his 23rd and 24th home runs of season, both solo shots, and in the process broke Pete Ward’s HR record for a left-handed hitting rookie (22) set in 1963. Palka’s multi-homer game — his third of the year — came in the White Sox’ 8–4 loss to the Orioles at Camden Yards, but the Sox still won the three-game series with victories on Friday and Saturday nights.
