Ozzie Guillen hasn’t formally been asked to participate in the recruitment of Manny Machado, but the former White Sox manager is scheduled to appear at SoxFest for the first time since 2011.
Guillen, manager of the 2005 World Series championship team, is among several Sox alumni added to the list of participants for the event, held Jan. 25-27 at the Hilton Chicago.
Guillen will join Frank Thomas, Bo Jackson, John Cangelosi, Ron Kittle, Dan Pasqua and Michael Huff.
Also added to the list of attendees are catcher Seby Zavala and first baseman Yonder Alonso — the brother-in-law of Machado.
