Listen up, people: Blame White Sox players before you blame the manager

I read the emails. I get the tweets. Everybody wants to blame the manager. Everybody wants to fire Robin Ventura. Like he's the one who popped out with runners on second and third and one out in a scoreless game.

Firing Ventura is the easy move, but it won’t make a difference long-term to the White Sox, and here’s why:

The Sox’s bad pitchers would still be bad and the Sox’s bad hitters would still be bad.

At best, they would be inconsistent. That’s what they’ve proven, and that’s why this mess is on the players.
