Jose Quintana is returning to form, thanks to two issues he tackled to make it happen

This season’s greatest White Sox mystery isn’t necessarily solved, but you don't need to be Sherlock Don Cooper to see that Jose Quintana is looking like his old self.

Yes, Quintana is shutting down American League offenses again, most recently with 6 1/3 scoreless innings against the mighty Yankees lineup in a 4-3 walk-off victory Tuesday. Figuring out why the undisputed king of hitting his spots was not hitting them, even for just two months, is suddenly less urgent.

Quintana walked four and gave up two hits Tuesday, striking out six.

“That's who he is,” White Sox manager Rick Renteria said.
