The Chicago White Sox missed out on returning Yolmer Sanchez to the south side. Sanchez signed a contract that is bringing him out west to play for the San Francisco Giants. He wouldn’t have gotten as much playing time with the White Sox as he has had in the recent past so maybe it is for the betterment of both parties. He was a great defensive player for Chicago in his time here and that part of his game will certainly be missed.
It is expected that Nick Madrigal will be brought up to play second base at some point this season.
