4 takeaways from the White Sox-Royals series, including the Yasmani Grandal and Luis Robert finding dramatic ways to end games and Dane Dunning’s impressive 2nd start

Here are four takeaways from the three-game series at Guaranteed Rate Field, in which the Chicago White Sox won two of three against the Kansas City Royals.

Grandal led off the ninth inning Friday with a 402-foot homer to right, giving the Sox a 6-5 victory. It’s the third game-ending home run of the catcher’s career.

Robert hit a 368-foot three-run homer to left in the 10th inning Sunday, giving the Sox a 5-2 win. It was the first game-ending homer for the rookie.

“(He is) a very strong young man, things like that are very possible with him,” Sox manager Rick Renteria said of Robert.
