White Sox offense comes to life in blowout of Tigers

DETROIT -- Just when it appeared the White Sox offense might continue to sputter, their bats came alive on Saturday afternoon.

It started with a walk and a stolen base. Next came a double, which was followed by a surprising bloop single. Then came an absolute blast.

All of a sudden, a team that was coming off consecutive tough losses and had scored two runs or fewer in five games was in the midst of its first laugher of 2015.

With the 2-3-4 hitters on a roll and Chris Sale holding the opposition in check, the White Sox pounded the Detroit Tigers 12-3 at Comerica Park.
