Langford leaves game with apparent leg injury

Related Topics: Wyatt Langford

Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford left today’s game in the fifth inning with what the team says is right hamstring tightness. Langford slowed up while running to first base on what looked like it would be an infield single, but instead was the third out. Langford, who was playing left field in today’s game, was replaced by Travis Jankowski.

Langford, the fourth overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, made the Rangers’ Opening Day roster and has been the team’s regular DH this season. He was seen as a Rookie of the Year candidate, though he has struggled in the early going.
