OMAHA, Neb. – Sophomore and junior each record three hits, while sophomore recorded her BIG EAST-leading 23 win of the season as the Creighton Softball team extended their winning streak to seven with a 5-2 win over Providence on Friday night at the CU Sports Complex.
The win lifted the Bluejays to 32-19 on the season and to 15-7 in league play, while the Friars fell to 21-22-1 overall and 10-12 in BIG EAST action.
Trailing 1-0 after an unearned run in the top of the first inning, Creighton opened up its first lead of the game with three runs in the bottom half of the frame.
