NFL Hall of Famer and current ESPN personality Shannon Sharpe is reportedly "on the precipice of signing a new contract with ESPN that will have him staying at the company for multiple years," per The Athletic's Richard Deitsch.
According to that report, the new deal "has not been formally signed yet but all indications are that it will be completed soon" and would see Sharpe continue to make appearances on First Take alongside potentially appearing on the network's NFL programming.
