The South Carolina football team has two Freshmen All-Americans returning as sophomores at the safety position in 2023 as Nick Emmanwori and DQ Smith hope to build off of their outstanding first year in garnet and black. Despite the returning talent, the Gamecocks have already secured a commitment from one 4-star safety in the class of 2024 (South Carolina native Kelvin Hunter), and they have some other irons in the fire at the position, as well.
One of the top safety targets on the South Carolina board is Warner Robbins, Georgia product Ricardo Jones. ‘Cardo, as he is known, is a consensus 4-star recruit.
