Mexico announce U-23 squad of 2024 Maurice Revello tournament

Mexico have named the U-23 team that will be taking part in the 2024 Maurice Revello Tournament. Coach Ricardo Cadena named the 24 player list that will try to win the tournament for the second time ever after finishing in 2nd place in the 2023 edition. With Mexico failing to qualify to the 2024 Olympic games, this will be their main competition.

The call up list was the following:

Goalkeepers: Fernando Tapia (Querétaro), Alex Padilla (Athletic Bilbao), Eduardo Garcia (Tapatio)

Defenders: Rodrigo Huescas (Cruz Azul), Omar Campos (LAFC), Ramon Juarez (América), Jorge Berlanga (Pachuca), Pablo Monroy (Pumas), Jesus Alcantar (Necaxa), Jesus Gomez (Tijuana), Jorge Rodriguez (Necaxa)

Midfielders: Alan Bautista (Pachuca), Fidel Ambriz (Leon), Emilio Rodriguez (Pachuca), Rodrigo Lopez (Pumas), Alberto Herrera (Puebla), Diego Medina (Santos), Donzell Garcia (Juarez), Diego Gomez (Necaxa)

Forwards: Ozziel Herrera (Tigres), Luca Martinez Dupuy (Rosario Central), Ricardo Monreal (Necaxa), Ettson Ayon (Querétaro), Efrain Alvarez (Tijuana)

With the new changes in the format of the tournament, where only the group winners go through to the final, Mexico have named a very solid squad for the tournament.
