Roy Keane insists he hopes Erik ten Hag 'is given a chance to get things right' at Man United... despite the club currently being on course for their worst-ever Premier League finish

Roy Keane has backed Erik ten Hag to remain as Manchester United manager following the club's 1-0 defeat against Arsenal.

After a humiliating 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace on Monday Ten Hag was tasked with attempting to turn his injury-stricken side's fortunes around against the title-chasing Gunners.

Casemiro retained his place in central defence with the club bereft of options in the position and the Brazilian was again caught out whilst playing in an unnatural position.

The 32-year-old failure to play Kai Havertz offside allowed the German to play in Leandro Trossard who summarily netted what proved to be the game's decisive goal on Sunday.
