The Los Angeles Rams saw former quarterback Jared Goff recieve a massive extension from the Detroit Lions earlier this week. On May 16, the Lions signed Goff to a four year $212 million extension which will include $170 million guaranteed. Goff’s extension dwarfed the $160 million Matthew Stafford received from LA in 2022.
With that in mind, should the Rams sign the Super Bowl champ to an extension that matches Goff’s? LA fans are largely against Stafford receiving a monster extension as only 31% of them would approve of such a deal.
