The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros return to H-E-B Park after a two-game road trip when they take on Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday at 7:30 pm CT.
In their last match out, RGV FC fell 5-3 to Real Monarchs SLC in Herriman, Utah. Forward Michael Salazar scored his eighth goal for RGV, setting the single-season club record for goals in the process. Forward Carlos Small, on loan to RGV from Panamanian club Árabe Unido, added a late brace to threaten the Monarchs but the team was unable to complete their comeback.
Salazar was signed to a first-team contract by the Houston Dynamo on Monday, so the team will look to Small to replace the output of Maalique Foster, who is with the Jamaican national team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
