Xavier women's hoops move to 6-0 after Michigan win

Xavier women's basketball continued its hot start to the 2016-17 season by upending the University of Michigan.

The Musketeers moved to 6-0 on the year with a 61-58 win over the Wolverines (7-2) of the Big Ten Conference Monday night at Cintas Center.

The game featured eight ties and nine lead changes. Xavier trailed entering the fourth quarter but out-scored Michigan 17-12 during the final period to take the contest.

Three Musketeers scored in double figures. Sophomore guard Kendall Fincher went for a career-high 17 points on the night. Redshirt senior guard Raeshaun Gaffney and senior forward Maddison Blackwell added 14 and 12 points, respectively.
