CINCINNATI – Xavier women's tennis starts the BIG EAST season strong as they earnt their second BIG EAST victory this season as they shut out the Providence Friars, 7-0, on Saturday, March 25 in New Jersey. The Musketeers move to 7-7 on the season and 2-0 in BIG EAST play. The Musketeers defeated the Friars in singles and doubles extending their winning streak to three games.
Senior Sydney Liggins defeated her opponent in No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 victory. Liggins and doubles partner Rachael Reichenbach overpowered the No. 2 doubles with a 6-1 victory.
