Watch: J.P. Macura scores first NBA basket for Charlotte Hornets against Dallas Mavericks

On Sunday night, J.P. Macura was helping the NBA G League's Greensboro Swarm rally to beat former Xavier University teammate Edmond Sumner and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in front of about 2,600 people at Trine University's MTI Center in Angola, Indiana.

Just 72 hours later, the former Xavier University basketball standout was beating the Dallas Mavericks' Maxi Kleber to the hole to score his first NBA basket in the Charlotte Hornets' 122-84 loss.

Macura played 13 minutes in the loss, finishing with four points on 2-of-8 from the field, with two rebounds and two assists.

Macura was transferred earlier this week to the Hornets from the Swarm, just days after former XU teammate Trevon Bluiett returned to the NBA for the New Orleans Pelicans.
