The 2017 Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame class includes former Xavier basketball players Eugene "Middie" Smith, Hank Stein and Carol Madsen.
Eugene "Middie" Smith played at Xavier from 1949-52. Smith played center for the Musketeers, leading the Musketeers in scoring all three years and finished his career as Xavier's all-time leading scorer with 1,109 points.
